San Valentino – The patron saint of love lived in Roma in the third century & was martyred on February 14^th 269. He was known for marrying people forbidden to marry such as soldiers or people from different faiths.

As the centuries marched on, writers like Shakespeare romanticized San Valentino and his day of love, popularizing and softening the celebration across Europe and eventually the New World. Finally, in the early 20th century, Hallmark got involved, and modernised the celebration into what we now know as Valentine’s Day, a day filled with hearts, chocolates, sweets and flowers.

If you are looking for a great date spot Brunetti Classico Carlton is a one stop shop, open for breakfast from 7am, lunch from 11am & dinner from 5pm and dessert until 10pm.

Our Carlton Cafe makes for a great date spot away from the waitlists and bookings needed at other venues in Melbourne. Brunetti Classico are known and loved for offering an authentic Italian experience. An experience that is not one thing but the sum of many, starting with the food.
