Our Individual Cassata Siciliana is a refined interpretation of one of Sicily’s most iconic desserts, thoughtfully crafted into a perfectly portioned indulgence. Rich in history and flavour, this traditional Italian classic combines delicate sponge, creamy ricotta and vibrant candied fruit, wrapped in a smooth layer of marzipan and finished with elegant icing.
At the base of this dessert is a light and airy vanilla sponge, delicately infused with Strega liqueur. This subtle infusion adds a fragrant herbal sweetness and depth of flavour, enhancing the softness of the sponge while paying homage to traditional Sicilian patisserie techniques. The sponge provides a delicate foundation that soaks up and balances the richer elements layered above.
The centrepiece of the Cassata is a luscious sweetened ricotta filling, carefully blended to achieve a smooth, creamy texture.
